Using provided digital photos, sounds, and video clips, students will create a digital video composition. |
7 - 8 |
Moodle: Technology Discussions |
Ethics in technology discussions and journal entries. Math tutorials targeted to primary deficiencies of the class |
8 – 9 |
Windows Movie Maker: Independent Movie Project |
In pairs, students will research their partner’s life and interests, interview them on camera, then create a biographical movie of their partner. |

Windows Movie Maker: Stop Motion Movie Project |
In groups, students will create a movie scene and capture still photos with a digital camera for use in a movie composition. |

Video Game Development: Maze Game Tutorial |
Students will individually complete the Maze Game Tutorial as an introduction to game development. |

Video Game Development: Guided Game Development |
Students will work on an individual game with some creative liberty, while including new features presented in class. |

Video Game Development: Special Topics in Game Design (Focus on Math Correlations) |
While creating a guided video game project, students will continue to address special topics in game development, such as code, libraries, and animated sprites. |
2 - 3 |
Video Game Development: Platform Game Design (Focus on Physics Correlations) |
In creating a platform game, students will discover the relationship between game development and real-world physics, such as gravity, speed, friction, collision/impact, etc. |
3 – 4 |
Contest Entry Planner |
Students will choose to begin work on a contest entry or PhotoShop tutorials |
